Photo credit Silver strikers media   Silver strikers have signed goalkeeper George Chikooka and skriker Binwell Katinji from Chitipa and Civil service United each respectively.  Chikooka has signed a three years contract while Katinji two years deal.  Katinji and Chikooka becomes third signing under new coach Peter Mponda ahead of the new season and the team is aiming to win league and two other national cups in 2024 football season.

Ramadan  Mwase Mighty Mukulu Wanderes has appointed Burundian coach Nsanzurwimo Ramadan as their head coach and former Flames coach Meck Mwase as his assistant.  other appointments which the team has made is position of Technical director whereby Yasin Osman has assigned on the position and Stevie Madeira has assigned on the position of Team Manager just mention few appointments.    According to the press release which the team has released the appointments is with immediate effect

  Photo credit Silver media team Former Dedza Dynamos forward Charles Chipala have signed three years contract with Silver strikers on Tuesdays 13 February 2024.  The player was unveiled at Silver strikers secretariat in lilongwe and he is third player to join the club in the pre -season period after Christopher Gototo and McDonald Lameck. In his speech Chipala lamented that he is happy because he is driving high in his football carea.

 Friends of Mulanje orphanage FOMO football club has unveiled Gilbert Chirwa as their head coach for upcoming 2024 season. Chirwa who has signed one year contract said, he is aware that the team wants nothing but victory in the elite league and other competitions.  on his remarks FOMO general secretary Richard Khembo the team has confidence in Chirwa.  lvory Coast come from behind in dying minutes of the game to defeat Nigeria 2-1to win the 2023 AFCON on home soil    Nigeria was first to score in 7 minutes of the game through Williams Troost -Ekong but Ivory Coast equalized in 62 minutes of the game before Sebastian  Haller scored the winning goal for lvory Coast in 81 minutes of the game  The goalkeeper of South Africa Ronwant Williams named goalkeeper of the tournament, Emilio Nsue from Equatorial Guinea was top score while William Troost from Nigeria was player of the tournament.  Ivory Coast test the same glory in 1992 and 2015.

Silver strikers club has unveiled Peter Mponda as head coach of the club for one year contract.   Mponda who has left South Africa Black Leopards has urged the supporters to remain calm as he will plan to find winning pattern of the club.   commerting on the matter silver strikers commette of suppoters have pledged to work hand in hand with the coach for the better of the team

 Chikondi Mwanyali of Civo athletics has wins Athletics National Cross Country Championship in men'category which took place in Zomba Gymkhana Club on 10 February 2024.  Mwanyali managed to ran 10 Km race in 32:22:80 minutes and beat other 36 contestants.  Happy Mchenjele become the second while Chance Master was the third and fourth positioned Gravazio Moni.  The Football Association of Malawi referees standing committee has appointed 120 referees for 2024 elite  competition . The number of referee's has increased with 17 compared to 2023 season.  The list includes 17 2024 FIFA approved referees and other 103 local elite referees, 45 (42 males and 4 females) are center referees while 56 males and 19 females are assistant referee 

 Mulanje based team FOMO FC has promoted to super league of Malawi.  Fomo has promoted to super league after defeating Ntopwa fc 4-2 on post March penalties after 1-1draw in 90 minutes in the finals match of the Southern Region Football Association league.  Speaking in an interview after the March FOMO Fc coach Mapopa Msukwa said, he was happy with the Victory while Ntopwa technical director Jomo Osman accepted the defeat although he was not expect it
